Bed bugs have oval shaped bodies about a quarter of an inch long and are flat before they eat. After eating they turn darkish red and become thicker due to gorging themselves

Eggs are whitish in color, pear shaped and about the same size as a pin head. Clusters of 10-50 eggs are found in cracks and crevices by baseboards or in mattress and box spring seams.

Bed bugs like to hide in seams, creases, folds of mattresses and box springs and cracks in the bed frame or headboard, between cushions, under area rugs and carpets, behind baseboards and in plaster cracks.
